Bequests

Including a charity like Rural Alive and Well in your Will is one of the most powerful ways to make a difference. There are a variety of ways to include Rural Alive and Well in your will, none of which will impact on your lifestyle, but will be a lasting legacy.

To carry out its vital work Rural Alive and Well warmly welcomes and respects the important contributions from individuals through your final Will.

A Will is a legal document that tells the people closest to you how you want to share your property and money after your lifetime.

A bequest is a clause in your will that directs the executor to distribute a portion, or in some cases all of your estate to your preferred charity.

A bequest to RAW will make a difference to people who live in rural Tasmania. Your thoughtfulness and generosity will help us to continue to reach those requesting our support.

100% of all money donated to RAW is used for our outreach programs, crisis support and community wellbeing initiatives.

To make a bequest to RAW please ask your legal advisor to use the following:

“I give and bequeath the sum of <INSERT FIGURE> dollars free from all duties death estate succession or otherwise State or Federal to Rural Alive and Well, Inc. (ABN 65-712-033-425) for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer for the time being thereof shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my trustees for this bequest without them being responsible for seeing to the application thereof.”

When you make a Will, it is important to let your loved ones know that you wish to contribute to the work of RAW by leaving a Bequest.
