Rural Alive & Well (Inc.) works with individuals, families, and communities across rural Tasmania to support positive mental health and prevent suicide. RAW is seeking people to join our team who have a capacity for self-direction and an achievement focus.

Please note there are currently no positions vacant with RAW, we will post any upcoming positions as they become available.

RAW Coordinators


Rural Alive and Well are seeking expressions of interest from suitably skilled people who would like to support those in need in Tasmanian communities. There has been an increase in demand for support as a response to the isolation and uncertainty that is surrounding many communities in relation to COVID-19. 

This is a great opportunity to join the RAW team on a fixed-term contract.  Successful applicants will be dynamic and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of Tasmanians.

RAW Coordinators support people who are doing it tough. RAW Coordinators provide accessible and responsive outreach support services to Tasmanian communities. RAW service is free and confidential, RAW also operates a 24/7 crisis line: 1300 HELP MATE

Desirable Requirements

  • Ability to connect with people.

  • Passion, customer care and attention to detail.

  • Personal resilience and skills in self-care.

  • Experience of liaison with community services and/ or a range of stakeholders.

  • Training in mental health awareness and/or self-care.

  • Current first aid certificate.
