If you have arrived on this page, we love you already. By you being here, we know you have the same heart beat as us.

We are driven towards building healthy and resilient local rural communities across Tasmania.

To achieve this, we know we have to build into the community a foundation of resilience, connection and awareness. One that is free from stigma.

Creating healthy and resilient rural communities doesn’t happen over night, it starts at a foundational level. We have to sow, water and tend before we can reap a harvest.

The most common phrase we still hear is:             “She’ll be right”

The humble, protective and hardworking nature of our rural communities is something that we all admire and look up too.

The work they do is complex and mental health and wellbeing isn’t always a first priority.

Current statistics show that people in rural populations are 2 times more likely to die by suicide. For each life lost to suicide, the impacts are felt by up to 135 people, including family members, work colleagues, friends, first responders at the time of death.

We are in unprecedented times due to the pandemic.  As an organisation we are choosing to invest into creating community activities that bring our rural, regional and remote communities back together. These events designed to bring communities out of isolation and solitude and back into a space where they can reconnect and do life together again.

We encourage you to make a donation that you feel proud of.

Whether that’s a regular donation amount of a coffee a week, or a larger, once off donation, know that your investment towards building healthy and resilient rural communities across Tasmania will be well stewarded.

Even one life impacted causes a generational impact.

RAW is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient. Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible and provided with a receipt for tax purposes
