RAW Community Training Fund Program 2020

Rural Alive and Well Inc. (RAW) offers a range of programs to raise awareness and provide support to Rural Tasmanians regarding mental health with a focus on suicide prevention.

Education is the key for suicide prevention; people need to be provided with the skills in a manner that they are confident in knowing what to do when the warning signs are recognised.

As such, RAW is proud to announce the RAW Community, Training Fund. The fund will be open to eligible Rural Community Clubs and Organisations to apply for free training conducted by RAW. 

Upcoming Training opportunities that could be offered to your not-for-profit organisation include a number of courses such as:

  • Standard Mental Health First Aid
  • Older Persons Mental Health First Aid
  • Mental Health First Aid for non-suicidal self-injury
  • Mental Health First Aid for Suicidal Person
  • Mental Health First Aid Refresher
  • Rural Minds Course

The RAW Community Training Fund grant application is a formal process and is an opportunity for not for profit-driven organisations to participate in free community-based training sessions. For further information and how to apply for this Community Training Fund through RAW visit the website.
