Hayden is a passionate Tasmanian with extensive experience in corporate strategy, finance and governance across the agricultural and utilities sectors. He is currently the Head of Strategy and Analysis at Hobart Airport. Hayden is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Institute of Chartered Accountants and Economic Society of Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from the University of Tasmania.
Hayden grew up in Circular Head where his family ran a commercial beef cattle operation and he has a long family farming history. Hayden left the district to pursue a career in finance and strategy across the agricultural and utilities sectors. He is passionate about generating great community outcomes through sound strategic and commercial decision-making. His experience growing up in regional Tasmania has given Hayden his own unique perspective on the challenges facing rural communities and has drawn him to contribute to RAW’s mission.
Hayden has held senior strategy and commercial roles with KPMG, Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd, Melbourne Water, AUSVEG and the City of Port Philip. He has been a non-executive director and company secretary for a large Tasmanian disability care provider. Hayden is currently the Strategy and Customer Value Manager at Tasmanian-owned electricity retailer Aurora Energy.
Hayden is a highly-invested leader who has built high-performing teams of all shapes and sizes. He prides himself on the positive cultural impact he has on organisations he works with and his ability to inspire and engage those around him.
Hayden resides in Hobart with his wife Sarah, three children and an excitable border collie named Lenny. On any given weekend you will find Hayden visiting family and friends in north west Tasmania, fly fishing in Tasmania’s central highlands or camping by a beach on Tasmania’s east coast.
